How hard is it for an imperialist power to come up with an excuse for what it does to poor nations?

The Spanish excuse was they were bringing God. The French were bringing culture. The British said they were bringing good government. The Japanese said they would bring prosperity. Today everyone can see the truth about those empires. But today America is in Iraq, saying it will bring freedom. Why are so many blind to this empire? Iraq was seen as a threat to the US? What a joke! If you were worried about WMD, why not LOOK for them!

The English, French, and Spanish colonizd America also. England won. Then we revolted against England. We are not building an Empire. We are trying to protect ourselves.

I assure you the main goal of the Iraq war was not to spread democracy. Iraq was seen as a threat to the USA and the rest of the world.

You must be living on the edge of extinction, I'm sure the die hard Bushies have already reported you to some organization that will muzzle you. And the reason is ..... MONEY! Big business makes money from war. What do you think kept Vietnam going for so long? The Military Industrial Complex.

What we do to poor nations? You mean like dump billions of dollars in foreign aid into them? Iraq did have and may still have WMD's. They used them on the Kurds of Northern Iraq. They had ample time to move their stockpile to Syria or bury them in the vast desert. The UN hounded them for what, 6-8 months before finally... More
