why do people refer to Monica as an intern?..she was on the White House paid staff?

which makes Clinton's affair another crime and convienent lie of ommission.. from the impeached one's lexicon of dysfunction.. "the President's version, in 1996 Monica Lewinsky was a paid White House employee. ... Vernon Jordan to get Monica Lewinsky a good job in New York" which is the same thing Paul Wolfowitz just took a hit for.. she got a paid job..strictly for being his sex partner..that is misuse of Federal funds

Yes, he showed the young interns how to get ahead in his administration by giving Monica a staff job. He later gave her an $88k a year position at the Pentagon ahead of those who had other, perhaps more appropriate qualifications.

if she was paid to be on Bills staff, wouldn't that make him a John. Bill had Monica, Hill will have Rosie O'.

Being the sad state of affairs that W has gotten us into, a consensual sexual affair with a intern or a paid staffer would have been easier both on our pocket books and our brave men and women lives and limbs in Iraq

Why is this still relevant? I will call her an intern if I like, but tell me why this is worth paying attention to.

But,but Clinton... The right's obsession with Bill Clinton is pitiful, especially the constant attempts to prove that every crime and misdeed their criminal leaders commit has to have been committed by Bill Clinton in the past.Your false and pathetic persecution complex is disgusting.

I agree with you she was staff but that is what an intern is a staff member. An interne can be paid or unpaid depending on the agency setup. That has nothing to do with this issue though.

I asked the same thing about Foley's pages. Are Foley's pages being paid by the taxpayers or just by Foley?
