How can I get employed in France?

I lived about 8 years in Paris as a youth, developing full fluency, but I moved back prior to high school, to ease the transition into American Universities. I have just graduated from the University of California, Davis and my new job as a Transportation Engineer is boring me to death...A recent trip back to France rekindled my love of Paris, and I really want to work and live there sometime. I am applying for the foreign service, but I do not have too high of hopes as many more people apply than get selected, and I don't have good experience in management or leadership, two requisite catagories...I would love to work as an FSO, and I know I could, but the selection process might get the best of me... Does anyone know American firms that hire french-speaking people - and that may send them overseas to do business? What about French firms over here - is there a way to get in with Bic Corp, for example, and have them move me overseas? Thanks for any help...

French-speaking skills would likely make you a favorable candidate for positions in Africa or the Caribbean, not France. New officers are sent to positions with open availability, and as you can probably guess, openings in Western Europe are likely to be few (and likely go to senior officers, anyways).
