In relation to a previous question. The police may get involved because although you would be taking your life. You are still deliberately taking a life, that's classed as murder.
I know it's stupid in the society we live in, when a pregnant woman can have an abortion, thus murder the life of a totally innocent human being, against the little lifes consent/wishes. New life unafected by the world outside, always wants to live. No one has the right to take their life, it's the purest form of murder. Yet a 'born' human who has got to understand the imoral/ selfish/ money/ power mad world they live in, can't have the same done to themself, WITH their consent.
I don't believe murder in any form is justified or should be allowed. But I do understand how the society we live in can drive some to do it.
You don't need religion, I believe man made them up anyway to try to help society as they could see it needed help. But with the way humans are, they will have been altered anyway as humans always change things for their own gain.
You live in a corupt mad world. But believe me, there are people out there who care about you. I do & I bet a lot more do or will. You need to look in the right places to find them though. I live in UK & don't know any numbers I could give you. Maybe post a question asking for them, there will be national numbers or numbers nearer wherever you live- there will be plenty that are free. Councelling is now considered a basic human right most places & there will always be somewhere you can get it for free, be it over the phone or in person. You know you need some kind of crisis councellor. People will want to help you.
If people around you are generally negative to you, don't listen, nobody's perfect. The fact they would upset you, just shows this. I've found good people do exist, you just have to get through and shove out the way, the hords of money/image obsesed people, to get to the ones who really care. If it takes going into hospital to stop you comiting suicide, maybe you should for a while. You owe it to yourself, you are a good person. Also make doctors listen to you, it's just a job to them, they will likely always have patients. But this is your life to you, it's worth fighting for. The fact you may not be well off money wise/have no job etc makes it difficult for you, I can certainly relate to all those things too. Born in poverty, still living poor. The state takes care of my basic needs, that's all I need money wise. What I treasure more though are my caring friends, they are priceless, I couldn't buy them with money. Things will get better for you, thanks to caring people, but you will have to seek them out. If you don't tell them, how can they know!
Assisted suicide is advertised as painless, but to be honest there's no guarantee of dying painlesly. It can be very expensive and may involve huge doses of barbiturates to get the job done. Personally I don't believe doctors should be taking lives, the fact they take money for it, just shows what a business it has become though. It could still be agonizing even if thought to have gone smoothly and been done by a highly experienced doctor. Doctors don't know everything- pain can't be seen, judgements made by doctors perceptions of the logics of sensory pain, are not definitive. Also due to error prescribing or administering drugs, you could be suffering in agony for a long time before dying. You could have a long time to change your mind and no way of going back. Look up lethal injection on wikipedia, it's often the same kind of thing adapted into various different forms. Some places may give drugs first that paralyze you, but pain can still be felt, just not expressed. They may give drugs that could take away pain first, but the true effects will not be known until the lethal dose is given. Plus everybody responds diferently to drugs, so there's just no gurantee. I've heard some places just give the patient a drink containing the poison. Death will be different for everyone. One person may feel more pain dying, than the pain of a milion people dying put together. The level of pain a persons body will tolerate before shuting down, could mean they endure unbearable agony or simply slip off. Pain may be so severe it can't be expressed. Plus certain drugs or your response to them, could supress your ability to express even extreme pain. Unless you are suffering from a physical condition that gives you an extremely poor quality of life (though this is debateable), or are terminally ill. Many doctors will refuse your request, they may refuse even in those cases. Though there will probably be someone somewhere prepared to try to acomodate it, for money, if I know humans.
