Whats the difference betweeen Pharmacist and a Pharmacist Technician?

I want to know whats the difference betweeem a pharmacist and a pharmacist tech? which one pays more?

A Pharmacist gets paid more than a Pharmacist technician. The difference is a pharmacist is the one who answers questions about the pills and knows what is inside of it that makes the pills work better for a certain condition where as a pharmacist technician just gets the prescription ready and fills the bottles with... Pharmacist program is 5-6 yrs in college/grad school - avg salary $80k. Pharmacist Techinican can even be done on home study - only pays $10-14/hr - even with 20 yrs experience

pharmacist has four yrs of school and has a bs degree that can read doc orders and fill prescriptions . They determine the strength of the pills and side effect. the tech count the pills and wait on customers and only requires two yr program. plus the pay difference is a big hike
