How often do infants at the age of 4-6mos need to see a pediatrician?

And what vaccinations/shots are needed during these months? I am asking b/c my husband and I will be moving to a different state when our baby is around 4 mos and the insurance at his new job will not take effect until our baby is 6 mos old.

Generally, they see the doctor for checkups and vaccines every 7-8 weeks until they're over 6 months old, then it's every three months until they're two years old. Go just before baby turns 4 months and then right after they turn 6 months. That is the normal schedule anyways. Few days, 2 weeks, 1 month, 2 months, 4 months, 6 months, 9 months, then one year. My son got about 3-4 shots at each visit at this age. Sorry I can't remember off hand the exact ones.
