Livingin Kalamazoo MI?

Can anyone tell me about living in Kalamazoo with a family? Both the good and the bad from people who live there or have spent a lot of time there please.

I visited there for about a week. It's one of the most expensive states to live in, just so you know. Rent down there is 1200 or so, and eating is expensive too. The schools, i don't know about that, but Michigan taxes every d**n thing, so its gotta be good down there... More
