How does one find a job with experience in the field they went to school for?

I went to school and learned how to be a medical biller/ coder. For the past three months I have gone on interviews and applied to everything related to my field and still no luck. Alot of time it is becuase I haven't had 1-2 years experience yet. Any suggestions?

Go back to your school and ask for help in the career center. They usually have someone that can help guide you with job placement. They don't guarantee you a job but they can point you in the right direction and give you suggestions. You might need a better resume, cover letter, etc. There are lots of jobs that... More

Might ask your personal doctor if you can work for them at a very low rate to get some experience.

A couple ideas. First go to the career services department where you went to school and ask them for help. Another idea is to go to a temp or perm agency that specializes in medical placements. You can also go to http://www.free-resume-help.com and see if that site can help you with your job search.
