What is the maximum salary for underwriters?

I would really like to hear from a veteran underwriter. I just started a job in unsecured underwriting and trying to evaluate if its something I should do long-term and invest in. I want to know how far it will take me - $$ wise.

i believe that underwriters earn thru commissions they sell from insurance... there are no limits (no maximum or minimum) as long as you good at it.
