what exactly does a veterinary receptionist do?

There is an ad in the paper for veterinary receptionist and the job is located only 5 minutes from my home. Which is great because I don't want to be too far away from my baby. (yep i'm a first time mom) I am currently a stay at home mom and would like to get back into the work force. The ad doesn't have specific requirements for the job so I was wondering what does the receptionist do. I have heard some say that you also have to help clean cages, etc. Please help. I am thinking about applying Monday mornng. Thanks in advance! i would also like to know how much they make? city: fayetteville,nc i only asked because a family member was telling me something different. thank you very much :(
