spartan college of aeronautics??

I am a senior in high school and need help choosing a college or university. I have a 4.0 GPA and scored an 1800 on the SATs the first time I took them, but I am taking them again, so hope to improve my score. I want to be a pilot, although I am not sure which type, but I do know that I want to have a career in the aviation industry. I have been looking at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Tulsa, Oklahoma. It seems like a really good school but it is very far away from home (I live in California). If anyone is attending Spartan or is a graduate from there I would love to hear your feedback on the school. Also if anyone knows of other great aviation colleges (preferably in or near California) I would like to hear about those as well. Your help is much appreciated, Thanks! I have also looked into Embry Riddle but don't think that will work out because it is so expensive
