What to hire out and what to do ourselves?

The house I bought needs new electrical, plumbing, roof, heating and ducting, 1 bathroom, kitchen, remove 2 load bearing walls and replace with beams, needs to be insulated, have some walls put up, and I think that is it for the main floor. We need to do these things asap, so need to hire most of the work out. We are both very handy and able to do any of these jobs and just have them inspected aftrwards. We want to save as much money as possible as well as are on a time line, what would you suggest we hire out and what would you suggest we do ourselves to save the most money? We want to do the main first so that we can move in and then do the basement and second floor ourselves while we live there. I have a good cheap roofer as well as someone to do my heatung and ducting at a very good price. So out of the other things. Oh yeah and lath and plaster has to be taken out.

If you know any of the technical work, you need them to inspect & sign off on it (elec or heat & cool) Ask the contractors, if they don't like doing something, maybe you can do... More
