what would i need to do to get a job as an in-store computer repair specialist at a best buy or cicuit city?

friends and family ask me to help troubleshoot their computers and networking, and i actually don't mind the challenge of trying to fix them. only thing is these are basic type problems such as securing the home network or restart problems. i know i need to learn more, if i want an entry level job of this sort, would i need to take classes? if so, what specific type of classes? or would they train my on the job and i learn as i go? any helpful advice is appreciated.
