What is the solution for sleeplessness & depression?

I am suffering from sleeplessness and depression. My symptoms.. I toss in bed a lot struggling to get sleep. Even in sleep, people beside me say i scream and yell a lot. I get unpleasant dreams a lot... they include Snakes, departing my friends, losing someone whom I like the most, deaths of my grandparents,... a lot more horrible stuff. I am suffering from this from 4 years. I even feel depressed a lot for no reason. I cry even for a small sentiment or anger. I am desperate for a solution. My age is 21, completed my engg. I am good at my academics and soon I am going to join india's largest software company. No doctor is taking this seriously because of my age. I am in desperate need for a solution. Please offer me a really good solution. I hope you understand, and if you are a doctor would you mind to contact me? If no, please feel free to write me a mail. I need a good treatment from an efficient doctor. I ensure i wont use your services for free (if anyone contacts me).

Sleeplessness and depression are so very much related. Stress does not show effects only during your "awake time" it also wreakes and tears at your soul, your pure essence. You need to find a new doctor. There's a lot going on in your life right now that could be causing excessive stress. Stress can lead to depression symptoms. You don't mention if you ever get out and have fun or exercise. A good doctor will ask you lots of questions and do a depression checklist with you. Good luck... More

You should not have waited four years! Go to a good doctor... and if you feel that he is not doing enough... go to another one :) Exercise and spending time with family helps a lot! Best of luck!

If your doctor doesn't believe you then you need to find a different doctor and report the old one to the AMA. Find yourself a new doctor then take the Depression Quiz from the web site at www.psychcentral.com. Take the quiz, print it out and take it with you to your next doctor's visit.

you need a break. Give yourself some you time. Take a vacation by yourself. Get some good sleep that way , take lots of naps.
