Web developer at 47 possible or not?

I am planning to study web development basically ASP.Net/ javascript/photoshop and some flash. I am expecting to study for 6 months. After that can I expect to get a job in a company? Is the field saturated? Will my age be an issue. I know a little html already.

Yeah the job market for web design is pretty saturated and is frankly not very well paid. There's opportunities there but you need to be able to prove you're the best out of the 100 or so other people that are applying for the same job.

I would definately be sure to keep a regular income until I could get web work on a steady basis. With that little experience I seriously doubt you will be able to find a job on the outside developing. A lot of the larger companies will not even consider your app if you are not a college grad or have several years exp... More
