I am thinking about becoming a claims adjuster?

I have been doing the reasearch and getting the picture that it a stressful job with a hectic schedule. What I am wondering is for property adjusters schedules do they come in the morning and mostly telecommunicate from home or from their car or do they work entirely from home communicating via email and cell phone. If most people work outside the office why is this job so stressful. Is there a quota of claims you have to settle? I also read people are laid off I was wondering how many times any of you have been laid off and how long? Also I was wondering how often do you get a raise and what determines if you get a bonus and are claims adjusters really climbing up roofs?

if that doesn't work out for you, you might want to try truck driving as you would probably spend the same amount of time on the road. For just 3-4 thousand dollars you could go to tractor-trailer driving school, they find you a job with a company, and you make about 100,000 a year plus terrific benefits.
