Dan Rather suing CBS/ Viacom. Do you think he was fired for political reasons?

Many of us grew up watching him on the evening news. With over forty years of being a news man, he was pushed out in May from his anchor job because of a story about Bush's record in the military.

Dan Rather signed his own death warrant when he wouldn't give it up about that false story. He was adamant, so as far as I'm concerned he can just suck wind. No payoff for that jerk.

I think the fact the story and its source was never vetted and the facts were never checked put CBS in one heckuva dilemma. Rather's liberal bias allowed him to get sloppy in his old age and the Bush/AWOL story was the straw that broke the camel's back... More
