In Washington, DC, is there really a law that prohibits discrimination based on appearance?

I bought a wool cloak at a Renaissance festival a couple of weeks ago. It was expensive, so I want to use it as much as I can. I work on a military installation in DC. It was chilly Monday morning, so I wore my cloak. Over lunch, security pulls me aside and was about to escort me off post until I proved to them I worked there. Ran into another officer Tuesday morning, and he told me that if I kept wearing the cloak, QUOTE, "we'll do our job and see to it that you don't keep yours." Yes, a security guard who's not my employer threatened to have me fired over an article of clothing. I did a little bit of research on DC law, and I've read that DC prohibits discrimination based on appearance. Does that law exist, and if so, where in the DC Code is it? Does it cover clothing? If so, did this officer break that law? If so, what are my legal options?

I doubt you have a case... the security officers had a legitimate concern, in that you might have been carrying a bomb or a weapon undeer that cloak, which would make this a case of them just doing their jobs rather than a case of discrimination.
