Is it right that I am being forced from my job so that A less qualified pregnant woman can have it easy?

I work at a coal mine in Illinois, and though I have been doing a steady rate of work for the past 3 years, I am being pushed out of my job as a warehouse associate so that a former underground worker can have my job. The problem I have is that she knows nothing of how to do my job. I am being moved to an outdoor processing plant position that I have no knowledge of, or training in. Isnt it illegal to push someone out of one position and then immediately give that position to someone else for no reason? Oh another thing (this may be the reason for my forceful move) she is currently 8 months pregnant, and (from what I have been told) very good friends with my immediate boss.

Do you have some dirt on them, like safety violations or illegal conduct of any sort? If so, use it as a bargaining chip.
