Bought a new system and had it professionally installed, but there's some problems...?
I was parked on campus and somebody broke into my car and stole my entire sound system. So, I bought the same cd player I had and brand new subs and amp and had it professionally installed. This is what it includes: Pioneer Premier Deh-p980bt deck 2 Alpine Type-R Subs (SWR-1242D) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=7057383&type=product&id=1108124880979 Kenwood 1800w Max Class D Mono Amp (KAC-9103D) http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8226608&type=product&id=1166840602819 I've noticed a couple problems after he installed it: 1) If I turn my volume on the deck up REALLY loud, my subs will stop playing for about 15 seconds, then they will start back up. At one point, it blew the fuses within a matter of minutes. Is this because my amp is too weak for my subs? If so, what would be some good amps for my subs? 2) The bass from the subs is great, but I've noticed that the music itself is MUCH quieter than before. As mentioned before, I have the same CD player, and 2) The bass from the subs is great, but I've noticed that the music itself is MUCH quieter than before. As mentioned before, I bought the same CD player that was stolen, and my in-car speakers were not stolen. Before, I could turn the CD player's volume to 28 and it would be really loud, but now it have to turn it to like 45 just to match that same loudness as before. And by the time I reach volume level 45, the bass will be so powerful that the problem from question 1 above will happen (the subs will shut down). Why is my music quieter now? Does it have something to do with my amp? Yoshio, i believe that he's professional. He owns his own shop and he was telling us about his certifications and he's been doing this type of work for over 20 years. But he told me that the amp is the possible problem, because he said he's worked with lots of kenwoods, and that they advertise that they are 1 ohm stable but are not in reality

for the volume problem, there might be a setting called 'loud'. you can turn it on or off. if it's on, it'll be louder at low volumes, which would be at 25 for example. with it off, you gotta turn it up higher to get that volume. i have mine on usually, but off since i'm redoing my setup
