I would like help with choice of words to use in my resume?

1. I'm applying for customer service at a call center for a cell phone company. What should I say in my objective? 2. When I list my past work experience, am I supposed to use past tense, such as "handled" or "balanced"...and should I use present tense when I list details about my current job? 3. Also, I read in an article that you're not supposed to use the words "used" and "responsible for" in a resume (because they are too generic). If that's true, then how would I re-word statements like, "Used trouble shooting skills to maintain machine performance" and "Responsible for handling and balancing a cash drawer"? I would any appreciate any suggestions you might have.
