Is it better to pay a school for a cdl course or to get on the job training from a company?
I want to be a team truck driver and we were just wondering if it was better to obtain our cdl first through a private or community college sponsored program OR would it be better to speak to a recruiter to lets say schneider or swift or etc to get training specifically from them?

If you are in for the long haul the training at Schneider, Swift, and Yellow will be the best bet. You will enter multi-million dollar corporations who actually care about their drivers. I would say that a good accredited school would give you top notch instructions and that nice diploma will make you marketable with any company. It will deinitely be faster.

Good question. Both options are good, you can get your class A license on your own, but it will cost you some money, and you would need to borrow a tractor trailer from someone, which isn't the easiest thing to do.
