Is it appropriate to bring pictures from my last job to my new job?
I am starting a new job. I worked for an aircraft company, and I aquired a really cool picture. It is an artist sketch of the plane I worked on. One of the managers paid to have the artist create it, it was done with ink. Would it be inappropriate to bring it to my new job...which is non aircraft related? This picture doesn't really have anything that specifically ties it to my old company, except for the plane itself. I feel its important to know where you came from, and it might give my new co-workers a sense that I am proud of the work I do. What do you guys think? I also received another picture, that has comments that co-workers had left on the matte around the picture. I beleive I will be keeping this one at home!

I'm with you on this. I had photos of projects from previous jobs on my office wall; often people asked about them, and I was able to waste some time discussing them. Now that I'm retired I have no place to put them.
