when applying for a new job should you admit you have only just learned about the company?
Adding that the information you have newly learned makes them irrisistible or very innovative and exciting - hence the reason making the application?

You've still got time to research the company, on the web. There was a similar case on "The apprentice". They were not impressed by ignorance. But putting a positive gloss on it - yes, good idea.

i always try to get a bit of info on a company before i apply, but i would tell them the truth

When applying for a job anywhere always do a bit background worki.e is company successful, are they expanding etc.
