Can you tell me specifically why Dennis Kucinich is not a good candidate for the presidency of the US?

If you say that he is a "whack job" or a "retard" of some sort, please provide some examples. I have examined the man's record in public service and can honestly say that he is the better man out of Obama, Clinton, and Edwards. (I am not mentioning Republican candidates because Republicans do not matter this time around thanks to Mr. Bush)

Some of the things I like about Dennis Kucinich:

He wants the immediate, phased withdrawal of all U.S. forces from Iraq; replacing them with an international security force.

He voted against the USA Patriot Act.

In 2003, Kucinich was the recipient of the Gandhi Peace Award

His voting record is not always in line with that of the Democratic Party, which means even though he's affiliated with the Democratic Party, he's not a political hack.

Kucinich criticized the flag-burning amendment.

He voted against the impeachment of President Clinton.

He has never supported a constitutional amendment prohibiting abortion altogether.

Press releases have indicated that he is pro-choice and supports ending the "abstinence-only" policy of sex education and increasing the use of contraception to make abortion "less necessary" over time.

He has criticized Diebold Election Systems for promoting voting machines that fail to leave a traceable paper trail.

He posted internal company memos on his website in which Diebold company executives promised to deliver the 2004 Ohio election to Bush.

He was one of the 31 who voted in the House to not count the electoral votes from Ohio in the United States presidential election, 2004.

He believes the U.S. should move aggressively to reduce emissions that cause climate change due to global warming and should sign the Kyoto Protocol.

He is one of only two congressional representatives (the other is Ron Paul) who voted against the Rothman-Kirk Resolution, which calls on United Nations to charge Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad with violating the genocide convention of the United Nations Charter based on statements that he has made.

Kucinich is the only congressional representative to vote against the symbolic "9/11 Commemoration" resolution. In a press statement, he defended his nay vote by saying that the bill did not make reference to "the lies that took us into Iraq, the lies that keep us there, the lies that are being used to set the stage for war against Iran and the lies that have undermined our basic civil liberties here at home."

In a visit to the rest of the Middle East in September 2007, Kucinich said he did not visit Iraq because "I feel the United States is engaging in an illegal occupation."

Ralph Nader praised Kucinich as "a genuine progressive." (If Nader screws up one more election I will pesonally see to it that he gets deported to Cuba.)

He wants to create a single-payer system of universal health care that provides full coverage for all Americans by passage of the United States National Health Insurance Act. (Yeah, and so did Clinton.)

He is for legalizing same-sex marriage.

He is for ending the "war" on drugs.

He wants to create a cabinet-level "Department of Peace" (The War Department is gonna love that!)

He wants to provide full social security benefits at age 65 and is against the privatization of Social Security. (Hmm, Al Gore lite?)

He is for environmental renewal and clean energy.

He wants to foster a world of international cooperation (a little bit "pie-in-the-sky" but hey, I'm for it.)

Guaranteed quality education for all; including free pre-kindergarten and college for all who want it. (This also sounds a little bit like campaign speech rhetoric but I'm all for quality education.)

Some of the things I disagree with him on are:

He voted for the resolution calling for an investigation into President Bill Clinton's role in the Monica Lewinsky "scandal."

His congressional voting record has leaned toward a so-called "pro-life" stance.

He wants to abolish the death penalty. (I happen to think killing is too good for some of these scum, but it's the best we got.)

In 2003, he flip-flopped on the pro-choice/pro-life issue and began describing himself as pro-choice, saying he had shifted away from his earlier (pro-life) position on the issue. That's fine, but it means that he is a bit of a weathervane.

Kucinich was unable to carry any states in the 2004 Democratic Primaries, and John Kerry eventually won the Democratic nomination at the Democratic National Convention. Will he be another spoiler like Nader? I sure hope not.

And I'm not sure how I feel about this:

He wants immediate withdrawal from the World Trade Organization and North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA).

I dislike Kucinich because of his political philosophy, not his experience. He is in favor of an extremely large government which eschews its Constitutional boundaries and puts too much emphasis on the environment for me to consider him a good candidate. As long as there are humans in this world, there will be no "world peace." He's unrealistic.

I relate...

I like a lot of the things he said...he seemed to have a grip on the reality of the issues, but...

We all know that implementing the wisdom you see during the debates is an almost impossible job...lobbyists are too powerful...and conglomerates really run things by sheer weight of their presence...Microsoft, The Military Industrial Complex, and Big Oil is what the country is run on...

They got us by the short hairs...

But I'll vote Democrat by default, as I always do...

'Cause I don't make enough money to vote Republican...

(I do think balancing the budget is one of the most important things for our Government to do...because how can our government advocate individuals to be conservative in their spending, when our own National Government is Trillions in debt in runaway spending, and the Social Security system is gonna run dry before my generation can collect, and Credit Card Companies are simply huge loan sharks, and lending companies have a record number of home foreclosures, and everybody's squawking about i****************s when the whole country's labor force (which builds everything and cleans everything) is reliant on i****************s...

The hypocrisy is so huge and obvious...

What's a 401k guy to do? All of our pension plans are invested in the stock market, and that means we need big conglomerates to continue to roll the greed carpet out...

It's such a huge problem, and economics is such an enormous scary house of cards, and we have 27,000 nuclear warheads in the world when all it would take would be about a hundred going off to start a nuclear winter that would envelope the world...

I think I need a drink...or six...geezus...

Congressman Kucinich's largest short coming as a candidate is that he is not taken seriously by the media. That translates into him not being taken seriously as a candidate by the public.
He’s actually a very effective public speaker. He gave one of the most impressive speeches at the 04 convention, right up there with Obama, Sharpton, and Gore. But he gets very little free media, because the press thinks of him as a punch line.
Personally, I wouldn't vote for him because of his track record as an executive. As mayor of Cleveland, his public feud with the police was, in my view, unbecoming. Add to that the cities economic woes during his tenure, and you have an un-impressive executive resume.
Answered By: Hawv - 10/15/2007
When he was mayor of Cleveland he bankrupted the city. That was the last time he was in charge of anything but his own congressional staff. Do you want to see what he does with the US.

These answers are okay, but the reason he doesn't seem to be a "prime" candidate is his not as much of a "politician" as the others. He's a good guy with a great voting record, now who on earth would wants an honest, upstanding man that would listen to his constituents to become president?

I know nothing about him but he's a Democrat. They are all liberals, or socialists, and want amnesty for the illegals.

Kucinich is anti-gun, and since we have the 2nd Amendment, he would therefore not fulfill the oath to uphold the Constitution. In my opinion, uninfringed gun rights are the backbone of any free nation, so I could never vote for Kucinich.

So today I went in for an interview and I was going in for the 2nd interview by the head chief executive. now this is where it got weird, so she asked me about my previous jobs and said how much she liked that product over that product. then she started talking about her daughter? an her divorce ...then how she didn't finish college because she was making more money doing what she did for this company ... then she talked about how her teenage daughter is a handful... I just played it cool thinking she was using some sort of psychology thing to trick me into saying something stupid. the interview ended and she seemed happy an I was escorted to the door... now I'm freaking confused? is this normal behavior for an executive? like it felt like she was going to burst into tears at one point and tell me her life problems... is this normal? was she trying to see how I react or something?

Basically- no degree, although I have tried completing one in the past and stopped because of physical and mental health issues which were overwhelming to deal with along with going to classes full time. I'm not stupid and I am quite articulate. I am 23 and have only worked for about two years retail in high school and stopped working to go to university. I worked a few months in 2010 retail after I dropped out but it was only a seasonal position, and the only reason why I have not been able to constantly work is because of mental health issues. I had also tried going back to community college during my free time since i left university in 2008/9 and I had panic attacks while in community college, which made my anxiety worse from then on. Well recently I met a good doctor and he prescribed me some meds that are stabilizing my moods and I feel the best I've felt in years, and I'm ready to work. Thing is, I don't know how to get a job now since I've spent literally years being depressed and anxious doing nothing. I don't really have anything to put on my resume, and I never finished my AA degree either. All I've done is cashiering and although I do the job well and I get promoted easily when I do these jobs because I'm a hard worker and I try to go above and beyond what they ask of me,which is the attitude I have no matter what kind of work I'm doing as long as I'm getting paid. But I hate cashiering because it's too easy and I want a job that is more interesting. Any suggestions for me on how to get a job that is NOT Retail with the type of background I have right now? I also realize I have to go to college to get certain types of jobs, I am talking about what I can do right here right now.

Recently I have overlooked for a project at work and I am unable to accept it why? I am hard working, dedicated, maintain a very professional decorum, very cordial with my colleagues and bosses, give respect to one and all. Still people who take the p***, argue with managers, gossip mongers have been selected for some very responsible positions at work. I seriously can't get my head around it why, why unprofessional people who have no work ethics being selected over me, whereas I have a track record of excellent performance and never shy away from any work my manager ask me to do? I am at my lowest point and not getting hold of my manager to ask the question why not me, why them who can't even bother? I am feeling like a complete loser, giving years to this place, building my performance, trust and this is how I get rewarded. Why my life is so shit, anything I wish for turns to dust?

So I have a nice white button up shirt, business skirt and pants, and a suit jacket. I'm applying for a software development job and I'm very short and can look young so I'm trying to look adult, yet professional. I'm also attractive so I'm trying not to look too sexy. For the career fair I'm thinking of wearing just my nice shirt and a skirt with low heels. My reasoning being it's approachable and attractive without going overboard since the career fair hosts are mostly younger male recent grads. I want to be remembered but not intimidating. For my interviews I was thinking pants, suit jacket (power suit). My reasoning being it'll be older execs and HR people (mostly women) so less sexy with the pants but more powerful with the suit jacket. What do you think?!

I am in the process of planning my own wedding and I am having a fantastic time doing so. I have always enjoyed planning things: group vacations for my friends and I, road trips, etc... I could be described as a slight control freak and I am a perfectionist. I know I would exceed, and enjoy my career, if I were to make this a possibility. How do I do it? How do I get my name out there? How much do event planners charge for their services? I have a lot of questions, and hope that people who are self employed would be able to give me some pointers on getting my business up and running. Thank You in advance for your time and help.
