What is the best reason to tell a new employer why you quit your last job excluding..more opportunities?

I really quit because of no support from Upper Management. I was their Quality Manager, they wanted to remain ISO certified, however, they didnt want to abide by what was written in the company Quality Manual so I basically had to kiss the Auditors ass every time he visited.

I agree with telling them the truth in a little more diplomatic way. Companies have different takes on ethics. They certainly love the concept on the broad level and dealing with the public. I wouldn't use the word quit, ever in an interview situation. It sounds like you just said to heck with you, which maybe you did, but let them find that out IF they call your old employer... More
