Been to/know about Montrose Boulevard?

I am in a culture course at a university in Texas and need to know anything and everything I can about the area of Montrose Blvd and people's experiences with it... more than just what wikipedia can tell me. What type of people live there? What types of resources does the area have for the community? What are different ethnicities of people do you see there? What are some of the biggest attractions there? What is it like for a gay person to live there? What is it like for a straight person to live there? Where do people shop at? What are some of the best restaurants there? What kind of jobs are available there? Does anyone know anyone that lives there/works there/visits there frequently? What is their opinion of Montrose? Where do they like to go? Basically anything and everything anyone has to say about Montrose I'd love to hear. I'm also looking for a few pictures for my presentation, and I haven't had much luck. Thanks so much!
