I would like to buy a combination drill and screwdriver for small jobs around the house.?

It should be cordless. It would be real nice if it was two-speed. You drill on high speed, and you drive screws on low speed (much more control). Two batteries instead of one would be nice also. Idon't know what country you are in, because different countries have dif. brands. But your local home improvement center should have specials ( low cost ) . Go and check them out.
