I have to raise money for a charity to get a job there - any experienced fundraisers got ideas for fast money?

It's a rehab charity in South London - taking prisoners straight after release and rehabilitating them back into society. It's a Christian project that has about 14 people living in at any one time. I have some ideas, but I'd love to hear what you all think! Tim

I usually offer this suggestion when answering these types of questions. Its the perfect time of year to organize a gift-wrap in your local mall or elsewhere. Stores will likely donate the gift wrap if you explain your charity, and the rest is profit!

I heard selling calendars with naked people and beer sales helped buy an island near the great lakes, and also saved some theaters elsewhere before. Boobs and beer! That is a great trend in fundraising!

Recycle, hold a community collection day and ask people to donate old cell phones, pagers, PDA's, iPods, ink/toner cartridges then turn them in to This place gives money to a registered charity of your choice in exchange for the items, plus it is tax deductible to those who donate.
