What experience do you need to become a Frito Lay route driver?

My friend interviewed for a Frito Lay RSR job and didn't get hired, even though he had lots of experience in retail. For those that work at Frito Lay, what previous job experience did you have? My friend said they asked him if he had any sales experience..... which confused him since the drivers don't really do sales stuff. Any help you could give me on this would be great!
