Maybe just a tiny bit but not alot. They are a good team and can sail through regular season, but when it comes to the playoffs they just don't seem to have the toughness.

somewhat overrated they have a good team with good shooters but weak pg slot and weak sg spot also the c is weak compared to the spurs and the new look celtics theyre not on their level also i think denver houston are better and that the warriors will beat them as many time as they play

I've always thought the Mavericks were somewhat overrated. They're a solid team and they have threats all over, but they haven't made any off season moves to improve their inside game, which is still hurting. As much as Dirk has become more aggressive on the inside, he doesn't play like a big man, still.

I am a big Mavericks fan but I think they're the 3rd best team in the West. Dallas lacks a steady PG and a true C/PF. Dirk is very good but he's too perimeter oriented. Devin Harris is too turnover prone and Dirk doesn't play enough in the post. Mavericks aren't all hype or overrated, they just have holes in PG and... More

i agree that they're somewhat overrated............but spurs owns the mavs????????????????????? hell no!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! maybe in the past years..........but not in the last couple of years.......mavs beat spurs in the 2005-2006 western semis.........and last year i think its 3-1 for the mavs in regular season............
