Employment opportunies for a Mechanical Engineer is Los Angeles?

I am currently studying Computer Engineering... but will probably be switching to Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. Most like Mechanical Eng. I am under the impression that an M.E will have less employment opportunities than a C.E or E.E. How hard would it be for a Mechanical Engineer to find a stable job in the Los Angeles area? Preferably specializing in automotive or aerospace fields of M.E? .

Aerospace companies hire lots of mechanical engineers. They do stuff like ProE models, thermal analysis and stress analysis. In LA you can choose from Boeing, Raytheon and Northop-Grumman. Overall demand for EE is higher but about the same for CE.
