I want to start saving for the future. Should I start a 401k before I find my dream job?
I want to start saving for my future, but I don't have a "career job" just yet. Is starting my own 401K through my credit union silly? I'm 22 and studying to become a medical social worker.

By all means you should start your 401k because in most cases your employer will match your contribution by some specified percentage. Nowadays, the matches aren't as generous as they used to be but it is still "free" money your employer is offering... More
