Austin, TX?

A buddy and mine are thinking about moving from Kansas City to Austin or a city in Texas. I am planning to move down there so I can maybe transfer to UT. So if anyone could provide some or a lot of info about Austin that might make us more eager to want to move down there that would be great. What I'm really looking for is personal opinions and views of Austin. Maybe some suggestions of other "major" Texas cities that we might be interested would be good as well. Thanks.

I lived in austin for 2 years. Its a great city, a great college town, an abundance of beautiful women, 6th street, festivals in what seems to be all year round, the weather is cool, the people are great, i really couldnt suggest any other city in texas that would be as cool as austin is.

I went to UT Austin, and that school is the best so if you can get into it then by all means do so! The best part of Austin is the bar scene downtown....if you are in the... More
