What would happen if nobody went to work for one day?

This includes all the jobs you wouldn`t initially think of such as shop-owners(so you couldn`t go to the mall) or people who run movies at the theatre, or those in charge of pharmacies or any service building, or people who make sure programs come into play on the TV. No police officers, doctors, waste management workers, or anyone imaginable. If EVERYBODY got up one morning and decided no to do anything on the job, then what would happen that day?
