Is there such a thing as a low maintenance shiny floor? for busy people?

What is the material used or special cleaning tools, equipments or chemical solutions to use? Is this possible?

Ceramic tile is a good choice. So is laminate flooring. Either one just needs periodic sweeping and mopping. (Just damp mopping laminate.) Both are quite affordable.
