It wasn't a war, except in a political sense. The Second Bank was due to be re-chartered in 1836, but Nicholas Biddle wanted to challenge the President and try for re-chartering four years early. I don't recall there was a war. Wait, there was a POLITICAL war, but I don't think there was a name for it. It was basicly a rivalry between Biddle and Clay against A. Jackson, the president at the time.
