im considering moving to Portland..what is it like?

the jobs? what is the cost of living like? and what do you like about living there? Tell me as much as you can about what it's like to live in Portland, Oregon? i know the weather is rainy, thats one of the reasons im considering it.. coming from Az...moved here last year from San Francisco

The best part about Portland is that your about 90 mins from the mountains, and the Pacific Ocean and of course some Casinos. 3 Hours from Seattle and about 4-5 hours from Canada... More

Depends where you're moving from. It's a good place to live. Some of the parts are turning down right crappy, but there is a good core.

I go to portland every other month, my gf lives there, its one of my fav. cities. specially downtown portland, im thinking of moving there my self.

Well, I work at PDX and live with in 15 miles of that took me over an hour to get home this afternoon......Thats not normal here.....well, it didnt used to be. TOO MANY people here.

Appartments anywhere from 1600$ In downtown portland to 280$ sharing house or appartment. It has no sales tax! The public metro system is crazy awesome, go anywhere on the MAX (Train in the city, very convenient) and buses, crime rate isnt bad at all, safe overall, its a fun city with nice people, homeless downtown...
