VNRs is the only thing that corporations control the news programs, but with their advertisement. The corporations control the mainstream media with their advertisement and driven away the purpose of the mainstream media to inform the public. The corporations profited more in television than other mainstream media. The television networks started early morning the same as in the novel, 1984 when Physical Jerks appeared in the telescreens and telling their citizens the importance of exercise and how society need to look. The morning shows have rapidly change over the years by showing more commercials and focusing to entertain their women audience by showing multiple beauties, gossips, and shopping segments. Morning shows had more entertain than informal material according to Jenny Lauck, “Watching morning television for me is the equivalent of reading People magazine in the dentist’s office” (qtd. in Gold, par. 3). For example, Good Morning America started their program by showing the scandal story of the Miss Puerto Rico who was deception by one of the beauty ladies this week. The anchors took a good five minutes talk about how she will be appeared on their yesterday’s program as a guest. They took more time in the Miss Puerto Rico’s story than the real news stories. In the every morning show, they created a segment where a specialized person with the top ten items who one need to purchase. In addition, in every morning shows have part of the show that they are reporting outside and most of time they have vehicle Manufacturer Company promoting their vehicle. All the commercials during the morning shows are mostly about women’s clothing, new diet solutions programs, etc.

I think it would be helpful if you actually defined what VNRs are. I didn't know what they were. What does the acronym VNR stand for? I did a search online... and I "think" you are talking about video news releases. But I never heard of them until now... More
