Excel Sheet Usage!?

truly professional question... i've seven restaurant in different places in the same cities...with a central system...all the shop managers place product order for next day in the evening, as the product has the life of 14 hours, they place two orders for next day...morning and evening. i want to make this system online and fool proof. i want to give an excel sheet to a specific shop to write their order on time, (to track the time, accuracy etc.) when all the ordering is complete i just want to combine the data in one sheet, organized product and the outlet wise. i think this type of data intrepretation is called macro in excel working? may be does any one have the knowledge of excel enough to solve this problem? as i wanna start this system maximum by 10th on trial bases and by first of jan officially.

To be honest, you are suggesting using Excel for something other than what it is designed for. Not to worry...this is probably the most common issue that I address as a consultant. Thing is, Excel CAN function as a "what you see is what you get" database management tool...however, there are much better products out... More

i'm with pete on this one, why try and craft seven seperate spreadsheets to be used offline that then co-ordinate information online when you can just set up one central online source to be used by all the people that need it which is 'live... More
