Have you been denied unemployment from OfficeMax?
I was just fired from OfficeMax and am getting ready to file unemployment and was wondering if anyone on here has ever filed after leaving officemax. Do they fight it? Are they on there game here or like everything else with this company do they screw it up?

Unemployment taxes paid by employers are based upon the employer's record of claims filed. If you quit voluntarily or are terminated for cause you generally are not entitled to unemployment compensation so most employers WILL fight your claim since it will keep their unemployment tax rate as low as possible... I work with these cases in retail. get that claim in right away if they fired you for stealing, harassment or essive absenteeism good luck getting unemployment. Now if they let you go to poor #, just paper trailed you with different levels of warning you have a good chance of getting it. They do not want to fight... More
