Are their any REAL work at home jobs that pay good money?

I have a job, but the hours are horrible and I make horrible money. I live in CA where it is really expensive and I'm barley scraping by (financially). I see a lot of "work at home" ads that promise you make a lot of money, but I'm worried they are all scams. Has anyone ever tried any of these or know anyone who has tried any of them? Any good ones out there or are they all crappy scams?
