Why is the Quarterback the guy who gets all the blame?

I mean if they teams doing great, he usually gets the credit, but if they're doing bad he gets the blame and I mean I know he's the general out there calling audibles and making the decisions but I mean he can't control if the O Line is breaking down and the running back's getting hit for losses or if the receivers are dropping balls yeah since the question askes about one of the greatest QB's to grace a football field, seriously stick to the question

He's the only player who touches the ball on almost every down besides the center...who doesn't dictate the play. So realistically the QB is going to get the majority of the flak.
