I want to become an electrician but I'm afraid of job stability?

Can anyone offer insight? I'd be going to a statewide technical school called Triangle Tech. (I live in Erie PA, economy here is bad but I can't move)

Some merit shop construction electricians travel and work form project to project. The pay is higher but the stability depends on one’s ability to network and travel. There is always a demand for electricians. New buildings bein constructed, and only buildings being repaired and upgraded.

It is true that electricians are always needed. We need some now. We have so much work and not alot of guys. I don't know anything about that school but if it's a good one I would go for it. You could always move later once you have become more stable. Good Luck!

Too bad you can't move because in Pittsburgh, you probably wouldn't have a prob finding work. Skilled trades are always in demand and remodeling makes a ton of $$.
