What majors or classes do I have to study to be a nurse at a hospital?

there's this nursing (rn) major at hunter college for a bachelor's degree and i was wondering if that was what i should take in order to become a nurse at a hospital. thanks.

You can always go for the 2 year degree and then bridge over to the BSN at a later time. Where I work there is no difference in BSN or ADN. A bachelor's degree in Nursing should prepare you to be a Registered Nurse. You will have to pass the state and national board exams to get the designation. A BSN or batchelors degree will take you about 5 years to obtain, including your pre-requisites. an alternative would be an associates degree in nursing which still enables you to practice as a registered nurse. there really is no difference in skills or scope of practice, but the course in 2 years, maybe 3 if you...
