What a good first job in sales for someone without sales experience???

It seems like every decent sales job demands sales experience. I don't want to do tele-marketing or "inside sales".... looking more at B to B outside sales. Any suggestions???? Thanks!

B2B is a good choice -- the money is typically much better, as is the level of respect. Getting a B2B job without experience will be very challenging but can be done. The key is to recognize you'll get many rejections but eventually, if you stay with it, you'll get something (just like in sales... More

Be a insurance agent or house broker, they do offer solid sale training. :) http://www.apple3sg.com/startup.html

I help others start their own small businesses in health and nutrition. (Full training provided). Simple and fun! Small investment required. Why not improve your own health and be paid for it? http://marianmills.truewealthathome.com

Everyone here has very good examples. You may want to try working in the logistics field as a broker. Good pay---but it can be stressful. New car sales is also good experience---but it too isn't for everyone. Good luck!

The printing industry provides some excellent sales training that is transferrable and desirable for many sales careers. Community-based car rental firms often provide a good way to get started.

The only thing I can add is to have a product that you believe in. For example; ever see a great movie? Did you tell you friends to go see that movie? Same thing. Find a product or opportunity that means something to you personally.
