How can you get your RN through an online school without having real clinical experiences??

I'm an LVN who just accepted my first nursing job and will be working basically 9-5 Mon-Fri and I want to get my RN. Will I be able to? I've seen some online schools offering an RN degree. But how can that work?

You can't. If you read carefully, assuming it's not a bogus degree mill, you'll see you need to be working in the field (LVN would count) and YOU arrange to get the skills you need via your workplace so that when you report to the designated testing place to perform your clinical evaluations under supervision you will... All nursing degrees will require some kind of clinical placement. Usually the onus is on you to find a clinical placement. The quick answer is that you can't. Even a Personal Support Worker (Health Care Aide) has a practical component to their diploma. A RN would need lots of clinical experience as well as a practical exam. If you could get a student loan, and work part time while you attend RN training, it should be possible to work and... More
