Although I don't think it is accurate to say "save the environment" as if it needs saving, technology is the key to keeping it clean.

I suppose there are alternatives, like engineering an epidemic to wipe out 6.4 out of the 6.5 billion people on Earth.  The remaining 100 million could probably live with today's technology without messing up the environment too much... More

Technological development is not the key to saving the environment. We need to focus on the people that don't care. If everybody cared about the environment, we wouldn't even need to worry about the technological side of it because people would care enough to stop what they are doing to save the limited resources.

No i believe that people are the key to saving the environment, Technology will have a huge effect, but what will that do if no one honors it? First off, I think We have overpopulated this world already and that alone will probly destroy us, and one more thing, I think people are changing the way animals and plants... More
