Was the Cold War really a war?
The Cold war is described as a tense stand off between USSR and US. But did the United states military actually fight against the Soviet union military? I know several wars resulted in the cold war, korean war, Vietnam war. But did US tanks and Soviet tanks meet on the battle field? know what im saying?

Yes there were almost daily confrontations between our forces and theirs. These things rarely made the news. Cuban missle crisis is one example
