Replacement cost for coil?

1999 Chevy Malibu. Was making a scraping sound so took in shop. They say the coil came loose on front tires and the Tye rod (might be spelled wrong) for a grand total of $650.00. This sound right?

Price of a Moog replacement coil spring is $117. per pair. Coils springs are always sold in pairs to keep the front or rear of the car at the proper ride height. Carquest or autopartswarehouse. com has these springs with no sales tax or shipping... More

If your talking about the strut coil that would cost you around $150. and the tie rod will run your tops around $50. And would take about an hour to change both so you tell me if $650. sounds like too much

500 to 600 a little high but not so bad if alignment too...with tie rod u need alignment,,, asap

This does not sound right, be careful, they are setting you up for a screwing. Brakes make a scraping sound when the pads get work, they put a little device made of metal to make a sound to get your attention, this is a safety feature.
